Back in the 1970's I discovered picture framing. ( what an amazing revelation! ) In those days, it was a slow and laborious ordeal. I persevered and was somewhat pleased with my results. A couple of years later, a very nice Frenchman invented the "V-nail".

Pre V-nail... you had to have a degree of carpentry skills. To be able drill holes, clamp, glue, bang in ordinary nails, then putty the holes. A very messy and time consuming method!

In the early 1980's after having gained a steady throng of Customers, I decided to go into the Framing Business part time. I Completed all the neccessary formalities and ran the Business from home very successfully for about 15 years. Due to the huge growth of the Business, it has now been a full time enterprise for the last 8 years. Custom framing was my main income stream, but increasingly, I have leant towards the DIY segment of the market, and eBay. I can still remember my humble beginnings, and how hard it was to get hold of the right tools etc. Now you know why I am selling Picture Framing items on eBay... it is my passion!
