Back to previous page  Realities of Selling for a Buyer This is me... Jeff An honest Seller will cost their goods carefully and put them up for Sale at a realistic and competitive price. That price is often delineated by 'what the market will bear' and eBay is a great place to determine fair pricing. When a Seller starts to offer 'Free' items or huge discounts for multiple purchases, their Sell Price has those offers built-in. After all, no-one gives things away for FREE in a commercial environment. If the Seller cannot meet the price generally accepted on the eBay platform, then its sourcing and costings need to be re-investigated. Others may simply be doing it better. Another scenario for FREE offers and mind-numbing discounts, is the case where a Seller has too much stock (eating at his capital) and is desperate to liquidate. Nothing wrong with that, but straight Auction would be the real stage to move that stock. OK, the Buyer can grab a bargain from that Seller, but it is only a matter of time, when market forces will make that Seller disappear and prices return to their real level. This is my inspiration... Lucinda I make the above points, firstly because we have a premise on which we base our business... and that is to trade fairly and honestly. We live with our mistakes and correct any errors at our expense. We work diligently to offer a quality item at a realistic price. There are many hidden costs to consider, so we do not offer items for FREE. There is no such thing. Someone always pays. Yes, sometimes it is the Seller, but if it is, then it won't be for long. You do the math. We believe we will be around for the long run and to do that, we need our client base to be happy with their purchases and their experience. We want you to call again and again and whether it is your first visit or almost your last.. you will always be welcome guests and enjoy all the hospitality and gracious help we can offer.
