Hello everyone, welcome to my epage. I Ying, a full time artist living in Canada. My name is actually Yingzhi, but I know it not easy to pronounce hi most people just call me ingand I like it this way. I was born in China and grew up in Xin city which is a famous ancient city with thousand years of history in west-north china. After my graduation from Xin Academy of Fine Arts in 1993, I moved to Beijing the capital of China for several years and then immigrated to Canada in 2001. Xin is one of the oldest cities in China with great ancient Chinese culture and art achievements. Growing up in this atmosphere, I was edified to appreciate art since I was a little girl. After graduated from high school, I entered Xin Academy of Fine Arts and graduated four years later in 1993 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I worked as a graphic designer and 3D animator in Beijing and kept painting after work. When we settled down in Canada, I decided to pursue a career as a full time artist. Art creativity to me is in pursuit of the freedom and integrity of my deep soul. Nature gives me infinite inspiration. To create fills my life the greatest joy. Most of my paintings are of abstract and surrealist style. I'm always fascinated by all kinds of materials and media that enrich my language of painting. The abstract paintings youe seeing on Ebay are my practice combining traditional Chinese painting conceptions with the incomparable expressive force of colors and media. I always touched by other people enthusiasm and understanding towards my paintings. I very grateful to all the friends supporting my paintings. At my spare time I also make lampwork glass beads and jewelry. They are my great hobbies, and they also help me open my mind for my painting. |
