You are looking at a unique, one-off handcrafted genuine leather journals and photo albums. The pages are handmade cotton paper and individually bound by hand. It works perfect with that old fountain pen, glass tipped pen or any ink pens.

At Pages of Beige boutiques (please refer to www.pagesofbeige.com.au), we sell handpicked, handcut, handbound and handcrafted journals and photo albums using old world traditional techniques. We pride ourselves in restoring and adding value to such traditions that seemed a bit distant in the age of mass manufacturing.

About our handmade paper

We only use handmade cotton paper made from cotton, dried flowers and other recycled materials. It is beautifully textured, skillfully made and completely acid free

About the history of your journal

Any irregularities and variations are the characteristics of its handcrafted originals. It is natural that there are deviations in leather, colour, texture and thickness of paper

The material is first bought in the local village market of Rajasthan, hence sometimes there are arkingson the leather (pen marks, scratches, chalk marks). They are then beautifully handcrafted into beautiful photo albums.

The leather is individually dyed, cut and embossed to finish that gives the album its originality. No two journals are exactly alike because the work is always done piece by piece by the local village craftsman. Its character of each journal is the distressed finish and the uniqueness of each piece.
